Hi Substack! It’s your associate editor Bianca, reporting live from the Atlanta airport. Allow me to set the scene for you: it’s 3:23pm, I’ve been here since 11:30am because of my hotel’s checkout time, and my flight was supposed to leave at 2:30pm. Now, they’re not even able to say what time the flight is delayed to, just that we will receive another update at 4:15pm—they did mention that we might not leave until 6:15pm, though. So, here I am, missing my bed and craving snuggles from my dog, watching someone eat a slice of pizza from Sbarro, really feeling like getting myself one but convinced that would be a silly move for someone on their way back to New York City, the pizza capital of America. Luckily, I have Laura Jung’s perfectly curated outfits to take my mind off things, many of which sent me down mini shopping rabbit holes involving jelly shoes, barely-there sandals, and bloomer shorts as I try to fight the fatigue.
Laura Jung is a writer, fashion girl, creative, and founder of Digestifs, a Substack dedicated to examining fashion, taste, and womenhood. From her commitment to bringing back dressing fancy for dinners to putting on a stunning outfit on a WFH day just for the sake of it, we asked Jung what she wears in a week.
Until next time, Substack! I’ll be here, at the Atlanta airport. (Depending on how many more delays occur, a $30 airport Aperol spritz might be in my future!)
Monday:
“Worn on a day full of fashion events and meetings—the only crowd who could appreciate (and normalize) bloomers in the city! This bag fits SO MUCH and I’ve taken to from gym to meeting to dinner–so versatile with a compartment for every little thing you might need throughout the day.”

Tuesday:
“I wore this while WFH and stepped out to have a quick lunch at Odeon. I’m so lucky this place is in my neighborhood—it’s the best place for a quick meeting or drink or a long, leisurely lunch.”

Wednesday:
“I wore this to dinner at Bridges, one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The interior is so sexy and I love any excuse to dress up… we need to dress up for dinner more.”

Thursday:
“An outfit for an outdoor aperitivo. I love that this skirt brings a little bit of a vacation attitude to the city. This baby tee is my favorite and I wear it all the time—love that it’s slightly sheer! This bag has been my most worn bag this summer. It fits so much and I love that I can always carry a book with me no matter where I go this summer!”

Friday:
“I actually wore this outfit on my last day of a trip to the Hamptons and wore it on the Seaplane back and then went straight to dinner at Chambers, which is also a neighborhood fave. I love that it’s so comfortable (literally, the materials feel like second skin), while still being so sexy and elevated, and def summery.”

Saturday:
“Worn to have dinner in Greenpoint. Vintage Levi’s are a staple in my wardrobe–I must have over a dozen pairs now, all in different washes and fits and inseams. There are vintage Levi’s for every occasion! I love the half button down on this shirt—there’s something super relaxed about it.”

Sunday:
“I wore this on hands down the most glorious summer day in New York. We’ve been having the most beautiful weather this July and there is nothing more fitting than a silk organza floral dress to prance around the city in. I love dressing up for no reason at all other than it being a really nice day out. This bag fits so much while still holding a pretty compact shape. The structure feels so ‘summer in the city’ to me.”
